The new Lightwaverf WiFi Link - what is it all about?

Over the years, smart home technology has seen a dramatic rise in popularity and the Lightwaverf WiFi Link new version drives this popularity even further.

It does not seem too long ago that technology at home started and ended with a wireless remote control, or even perhaps a wireless doorbell!

However now, home technology is all the rage and with the advent of devices such as Alexa and Google home this form of gear is now in the forefront of many people’s thoughts.

And this is where the Lightwave RF WiFi link appears in this article.

What is the Lightwaverf Wifi Link?

If I were to put it simply and in a very basic manner, the LightwaveRF allows any home to be controlled from any location globally – so long as the Lightwave device is connected to the internet.

The Lightwave Link simply connects with your home broadband wi-fi router and syncs to any Lightwave RF device in your home; which can include sockets, switches, heating, alert systems and even outdoor lighting.

How do I use it?

So, picture the scene; you and your partner are returning home from your date night.  It is in the middle of winter.  There is a chill in the air.

Plus, being late at night all of the street lights are on to guide you home.

Just before you leave the restaurant and get into your waiting taxi, you use your mobile device to turn your porch light on, heating, and your hallway lamp on.

As you arrive home, you are greeted by your porch light. As you open the door, you feel the warmth from the heating and have enough light from the hallway lamp to be able to remove your coat and shoes.

Sounds great, right?

What else can it do?

Even better than this, with the Lightwaverf WiFi Link new version users have the ability to set timers for your devices to be turned on automatically at any time you feel is best.

Want the washing to be turned on just in time to be finished when you return home from work? Consider it done.

Perhaps you are on holiday, and you want to give the neighbourhood the appearance you are still in for security reasons; just schedule your lights to come on at different times in the evening and night.

Or perhaps you worry that you have left the iron on? Or the oven perhaps – that always gets us worried!

With the LightwaveRF, you have the ability to not only check to see if an appliance has been left on, but you can now turn them off; even if you are located miles and miles away.

How easy is it to use?

You will be pleased to hear that once the LightwaveRF is set up, it is very user friendly, and so easy to implement in your day to day life. The mobile phone application that comes with the kit is clean, bright, and fun to use.

Now here is something that you may find fun! You can synchronise your system with Google Home and Amazon Alexa! Meaning that you can control all of your devices by the sound of your voice!

They are so easy to connect together, and once done so, all of a sudden, your life can become so much simpler and easier.

Just imagine being snuggled up on your sofa watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones and being able to control your heating by saying; “Alexa, reduce heating by 2 degrees!

In conclusion..

Although fun, the new LightwaveRF is also an incredible tool that once implemented, you will always wonder how you managed for so long without it. Sure, there is the need to implement the system and to set it up correctly, but once done so, your life becomes all that easier. Our favourite feature is being able to control your appliances whilst at work, walking the dog, or even on holiday.

Plus, the ability to put your mind at test should you feel you have left an appliance on is an absolute God send. Just don’t scare your loved ones by turning the lights on and off after watching a horror movie!
